Pfc. Desmond T. Doss, received the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds as a Seventh-Day Adventist. Doss was drafted and ostracized by fellow soldiers for his pacifist stance but went on to earn respect and adoration for his bravery, selflessness and compassion after he risked his life -- without firing a shot -- to save 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa.  This half marathon will start at Cherokee Blvd at the entrance to Renaissance Park.
The 4 Bridges Half Marathon course, roughly parallels the 7 Bridges Full Marathon course until approximately mile 10, where it will turn onto the Riverwalk to complete the last section of the Full Marathon course. The Half Marathon starts at 7:30 am -- 30  minutes after the start of the Full marathon.  Click HERE to register.
