CPR (Climb, Paddle, Run)

Where: Downtown Chattanooga

When: Saturday, October 8 at 8 a.m.

Cost: $40

The CPR is a triathlon geared for the outdoor adventurer. This multi-sport challenge will take participants from High Point Climbing Gym to the Tennessee River to a road race back to downtown.

The race begins with a climbing trial. Climbers compete on six-roped climbs on the outside wall at High Point, with each one getting progressively more difficult. A time penalty will be given to those unable to complete the challenges.

The race then heads to the water. Participants paddle 8-miles from Ross’ Landing downstream to the Baylor School.

From Baylor, participants lace up their running shoes. The athletes trek back to downtown running along whatever route they choose--as long as they don’t run on Highway 27 or the Stringer’s Ridge tunnel. This leg of the race is as much mental as it is physical.

Post-race, the participants can celebrate their achievements on the High Point outside deck with their fellow competitors.
