Nature Calls

Nature Calls

October 16 / Lula Lake Land Trust / 10:00am

Nature Calls 15K & 5K is primarily a quarterly celebration event for the road
200 Mile Club but is still open to anyone. These Nature Calls races are held in the beautiful Lula Lake Land Trust and generally occur on the 2nd Sunday of each new quarter (4/10/16, 7/10/16 & 10/16/16).

Mainly a low key, no frills, low cost, no awards social race, run, and/or hike. The 5K is about as easy as can be found in this area and the 15K has some real challenges with the High Adventure trail, including a rope section and the difficult trail that travels down to the bottom of Lula Falls. This event is open to anyone traveling at any speed. Hikers are most welcome as that is likely the exercise of choice of many engaged in the 100 mile
club. The run/hike will be followed by a $5 barbecue dinner.

Triple Crown of Bouldering

Triple Crown of Bouldering

October 21 / Stone Fort / 8:00am

Only a short drive from downtown Chattanooga, you'll find one of the best triple crown

boulder fields in the entire country. Stone Fort (aka Little Rock City) has placed Chattanooga in the national bouldering limelight because of its killer sandstone and primo lines

This beautiful sandstone boulderfield is packed full of classic splitter lines each with its own unique features ranging from tiny crimpers and cool pockets to beautiful cracks and big fat brainy slopers. Stone Fort, formerly known as Little Rock City, has long been known as one of the best boulderfields in the southeast. With lines like the Incredible Hulk, The Wave, Diesel Power, Space, Jerry's Kids, Behind The Barndoor and Super Mario it's not hard to figure out why.  To register and for more information check The Southeastern Climbers Coalition website.
