Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to have the Southeast Wilderness Medicine Conference back in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this coming fall from October 4th to the 9th, and part of RiverRocks, Chattanooga’s signature outdoor festival celebrating the active lifestyle sought by and enjoyed by thousands each year.
Look at the outstanding line-up of presentations, workshops and world class faculty that will assist you in increasing your awareness of medical problems unique to the wilderness environment, gain knowledge and skills of how to prevent, diagnose and manage illnesses or injuries in the wilderness environment and create awareness of safety and accident prevention in the wilderness surrounding.
I look forward to seeing you this coming fall!

This year’s conference will be held in conjunction with the RiverRocks Outdoor Festival.
RiverRocks is “play with a purpose.” More than ninety events offer a full complement of adventure activities - by air, land and water. Whether you have a passion for paddling or pedaling, love ropes and rocks or would rather hang glide or hike, this festival is for you. Expert competition as well as gentle thrills for casual participants of all ages await you at RiverRocks. In addition, the 10-day event will also feature entertainment, live music, hot air balloons, river cruises and more.
And, after all of the fun, RiverRocks will distribute half of the proceeds collected during the event to area land trusts and conservancies.
The RiverRocks Southeast Wilderness Medical Conference is supported by the Wilderness Medical Society. The Academy of Wilderness Medicine has approved this program and will award FAWM Credit.
